The old Perithia
Tavern ‘THE OLD PERITHIA’ is located at the center of the square and it’s the only one that lasted, as it’s been running since 1863. The family has always been the same and the tavern passes from the grandfather to the grandchild. At first it was serving the locals and the villagers and later the tourists.
The history of the traditional cuisine starts a few centuries ago. It’s about local specialties, made with old recipes of grandparents, including cockerel pastitsada, rabbit stifado, mousaka, lamb roast, grilled meat on the charcoal, in an atmosphere Infinitely Prom to enjoy the noon aura or the coolness of the night with original Greek flavors.
You will also find large variety of delicious appetizers and you won’t forget to try grandma’s walnut cake, rare yogurt served with various home-made patisserie and fluffy orange pie.
